Mentoring

The mentor cadre (ABRCs and BRPs) will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the FLN mission. The key responsibilities of mentors in the NIPUN Haryana mission will build upon their existing mentoring responsibilities. The role of a mentor includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Provide academic support to FLN teachers through school visits, with each school visit involving three classroom observations
  • Conduct 20 classroom observations every month in the FLN grades 1 to 3
  • Attentively observe the teachers’ teaching methods, usage of TLE/TLM, and participation of children
  • Debrief and share key takeaways from each observation with the teachers and Headteacher/Principal
  • Conduct spot testing of randomly selected students
  • Fill in the observation data and spot testing data on the state FLN app
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with teachers at cluster level to discuss academic concerns
